- I discovered this informative and thought-provoking YouTube video
from ABC News, Australia, published in July of 2023 and I highly recommend watching
it in its entirety. This page is my response.
- Starting with the title, I would replace "Care for Transgender Children"
with "Transgender Care for Children." Why? Because
- there is no such thing as a transgender child (nor anyone else for that matter).
I prefer the term "gender-rejecting child." - no one is "born in the wrong body." Not to be insulting, but the idea really is absurd.

- There are various forms of Dissociative Identity Disorders (DID) and they are
all treated using standard psychological practices -- until recently, gender
being the exception. Why is that? In my unprofessional opinion, treating Gender DID
via medical treatments such as blockers, testosterone, estrogen, surgeries, etc.,
is usually the wrong approach. Therapy and counseling would be more appropriate.
However, in today's world, simply making that suggestion is shouted down as transphobic
and hate speech which can result in people literally losing their jobs.
- At 35:17,
Dr. Stathis states: "There's increasing evidence that puberty blockers impact
on bone mineralization, problems with the bones.1 So, we're adapting our recommendations
and our consent forms to take that into account.2" His backpedaling is a genteel way of saying:
- Puberty blockers (along with testosterone in females and estrogen in males) are poisons. Take them at your own risk.
- As for our previous recommendations, Whoopsie!
- At 36:26,
the mother of a gender-rejecting boy says that "She was ... assigned male at birth."
Comments like these are a misdirect, not rooted in reality, a subtle albeit unintentional deception, or at best, a misunderstanding of biology.- Gender is not assigned at birth. It is discovered at birth (if not sooner).
- Gender is assigned at conception. It's called science, and nothing will ever change our biological genders. Nothing.
- At 37:57,
the boy declares: "I'll be on puberty blockers soon and that's just going to be
like pausing really my body from growing into what I don't want it to be."
- He has no idea the hurricane he's sailing into. Yes, taking puberty blockers will halt his puberty. Meanwhile, his peers will blossom from childhood to adulthood. As a result, he will be left behind still a child. The only real "transistion" is puberty the way nature intends.
- As for his body, he's stuck with it. He can modify it all he wants, but he'll never change gender. Wait until he's on estrogen for a while and has to live with the consequences. For one, his sexual function will be destroyed before he's old enough to know what that means.
- Psychoanalyst Lisa Marchiano describes the fallout this way: "That's what I hear: 'I have ruined my life. I've ruined my body. I've ruined my health. I had a perfectly good body and now it's ruined,' and I've heard that ... repeatedly from detransitioners." This is tragic beyond comprehension.
Pop Quiz: Can a male who transitions to female get pregnant?
Answer: No!
Okay, why not? Because- his DNA does not wire his body for pregnancy.
- the term "transition" is a lie. There is no transition.
- At 41:13,
"When anti-trans activist Kelly J Keane held a rally..." I strongly object
to Ms. Keane and others like her being referred to as "anti-trans." Quite the opposite,
she and many medical professionsal are sounding the alarm regarding the harm
that's being done in the name of "Gender-Affirming Care." This labeling of
"anti-trans" reveals the bias I see all the time. If objecting to children being
given puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and removing the perfectly healthy breasts
of 15-year-old girls makes one "anti-trans," then count me in.
- At 54:22,
a grieving mother declares she lost her child because "there was none of that support."
That's true, but not in the way she means it. Her child gave up on life not because
he didn't transition soon enough, but because he could not accept himself the way
be was born. There's no way to know if his outcome would have been any different
had he medically transitioned. I've heard several de-transitioners say:
- that transitioning didn't bring the psychological relief they thought and were told it would.
- they didn't become suicidal until after they transitioned.
- that along with their unresolved psychological issues, they are now dealing with the formidable damage done to their bodies.
- "Transition" is make-believe. Those who step on that land mine become
lifelong medical patients who have to keep those drugs coming, because the day
they stop, their DNA will start tearing down their facades.
- My conclusion is that fighting Mother Nature is a losing proposition, but good luck arguing with her. This is all so sad.
